Metadata Preflight

Metadata Preflight is a local-only desktop tool for checking and cleaning metadata before uploading image or audio files.

It can inspect image metadata such as Exif, GPS, PNG text chunks, AI prompts, and ComfyUI workflows. It can also inspect audio metadata in MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, and AIFF files.

For audio files, Metadata Preflight can create cleaned copies with selectable cleanup categories, such as:

• Privacy-related metadata
• AI source / Source URL
• Comments / descriptions
• Software / encoder information
• Basic music tags
• Distribution info
• Embedded artwork

Original files are never modified. Files are processed locally and are not uploaded anywhere.

This is useful for AI music creators, AI image creators, artists, and anyone who wants to check what hidden metadata may remain before sharing files online.

Notes

This is a pre-release build.

• macOS builds are unsigned and not notarized.
• Windows builds are unsigned, so Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may show a warning.
• Metadata removal creates cleaned copies; it does not guarantee complete forensic anonymization.
• Use cleaned audio copies for pre-upload checks, not as a replacement for your distribution master files.

Metadata Preflight（日本語別名：アップ前チェックくん）は、画像や音声ファイルをアップロードする前に、メタデータをローカルで確認・削除コピー作成できるデスクトップツールです。

画像では Exif、GPS、PNG text chunk、AI生成Prompt、ComfyUI Workflow などを確認できます。 音声では MP3 / WAV / FLAC / M4A / AIFF のメタデータ確認に対応しています。

音声ファイルでは、削除するカテゴリを選びながらメタデータ削除コピーを作成できます。 たとえば、AI生成元URL、コメント、エンコーダ情報などを削除し、曲名やアーティスト名などの基本タグを残すこともできます。

元ファイルは変更されません。 ファイルは外部送信されず、ローカルで処理されます。
